    Known for her whimsical
and darling designs, Lea Stein began designing her pieces in 1968.
Their construction uses lamination of the cellulose acetate material.
Vintage brooches had a V-shaped brooch back and were typically marked Lea
Stein Paris.    Hair ornaments were sometimes unmarked or
	marked Made in France.
Vintage pieces were produced until 1981 when the business faltered.
Lea Stein returned to designing jewelry around 1990 and adds 1-2 new
designs each year.   Please note that references cited for
Collecting Art Plastic Jewelry are for the actual piece(s) loaned to
the author for the book. |
